Buff Tip (Moth)
I spotted bats in the garden yesterday evening, so put the moth trap out as the weather was calm. I had the best catch so far this year - 18 different species and about 40 individual moths (not nearly as many as in previous years).
This is a Buff Tip moth. I have put images of an Angle Shades (the brownish one that looks like a dead leaf) and a Burnished Brass (the greeny-yellow one) in Extra photos.
Amongst the rest, I also caught a large Privet Hawkmoth and loads of Heart and Darts. together with some micros and a couple I have yet to identify.
