Secret sorties
The detox is going well. I was hungry today but chewed gum and drank water to stave off the carb cravings.
Work was better then yesterday and I then dashed to Market Harborough for the best massage I've ever had at 1.15pm. I asked for an energising one so she said she'd do a deep tissue massage which was possibly the most painful one I've ever had but has done me the world of good. All my muscles feel relaxed. I've booked again for a month's time.
I couldn't resist picking up a few baby clothes in the sale then enjoyed a short country walk in the sun before the head shrink. I saw some gorgeous bright yellow birds in the crops and must look them up.
There's an old airfield that was used in the second world war by the Americans to make sorties to Europe to drop provisions to the French resistance as well as dropping spies into occupied France. Here's a shot of one of the remaining concrete runways, taken over by nature with an historic feel filter added.
The head shrink was fine and then I came home to make more juices for tomorrow. Job done.
I've also booked an initial appointment next week with a personal training programme that I'm considering joining. I know very little just yet but hope it could be an interesting proposition.
This evening I've been making arrangements with an old school pal who's going to come down at the weekend as we've got an informal girls' reunion for our school year, the excuse for it being 30 years since we finished our O'Levels!!!!
This evening I'm relaxing with the telly as L is out. Bliss.
