A baldie Blackie.....

The shearing crew here again today. Just as well we shut sheep in last night,as a few showers this morning.A lorry in for ewes for Carlisle before lunch.
Saved the tups till the end , just to give the shearers something to look forward to.This is a Scottish Blackface which is the breed we have on the hills.Their wool isn't fine enough for much else but carpets.So next time you think of wooden flooring, think how much more welcoming a nice British ,pure wool carpet would be !
