Shiny shiny...

Busy morning sorting out cattle. Tagged Tuesday's calf, then sorted the spring calving cows and their calves into one field and put a bull out with them. The 9 that were still to calve went to another field. And one old granny that wasn't to be bulled again went into a shed with her calf to fatten up.
Left them to start clearing out the silage pit ready for next week and went away to get a trailer tyre sorted, and 2 new tyres on the Jeep. Discovered that it should have been 3 new tyres ,and they only had 2 at the depot,so will need to go back once they get one in.
Back in time to help my mechanic pal sort the front axel casting on the old Ford tractor, which has been waiting about 6 weeks to be fixed, but was also sitting in the silage pit,so would be in the way . Discovered the water pump was knackered,so more expense !
This shiny blip is the new slurry pump. It is galvanized to help stop the slurry eating away at the steel, but will soon loose its shine. ( A bit like my day ! )
