Cooper, a dear 15 year old Lab...
Today I caught Cooper napping (or pretending to nap) after a short walk, it was already hot and humid. After a delicious home-cooked breakfast we visited the Workhouse Arts Center-used to be a Workhouse, then a prison, and now has a large art gallery and many rooms (former cells) that are now art studios for artists of many genres. Another bbq delicious dinner and then off to see a really funny play, "Shear Madness" (the longest running play in America) at The Kennedy Center. We had good views of the Potomac and Georgetown Waterfront from the balcony of the K.C., but during the intermission you couldn't even see the wall of the balcony as a huge thunder and lightning storm was underway, even hail bouncing high off the concrete, high winds and, we heard, flash flood warnings. We were oblivious to it as we enjoyed the second half of the play. However, the storm continued the entire drive home. The women in our car took off our posh shoes, rolled up our pants legs, and paddled our way up onto the front porch, anxious to get inside. We had a brief power outage, then were able to relax in comfort and have a good, chatty visit.
I wonder why the extra pictures don't appear in the order I want them to be.
