We always watch for the Barbell man...
The horrendous storms finished overnight and today we have clear skies and sunshine for our drive home. Before setting off we were treated to a delicious Father's Day Brunch at Carlyle restaurant in The Village at Shirlington. We encountered none of the busy, high truck traffic, just a lovely sunny drive for our return trip. We always watch out for "the Barbell Man" that rotates over the York (PA) Barbell sign, as this is about the half-way landmark for our journey home. We had lovely views when driving over the mountains, and saw some amazing cloud formations and sunset, then "YEH!" we were home. We'd really enjoyed our visit to Alexandria, VA, most important being with family, who hosted us so well, fed us well, entertained us well, and it was great not having the responsibilities one has in their own home each day, yet it was still nice to walk through our own front door and be home.
