Start as You Mean to Go On

We walked a few blocks to Ken's Artisan Pizza for supper, and as we were hungry after our train journey of more than six hours, we ordered an appetizer and salad to share before our pizza, as well as a local beer for Phil and a lovely Oregon pinot gris for me.

We'll know better next time, as our "small plates" eating style at home couldn't cope with that much food! We have half of our pizza to enjoy in our lovely rental apartment later this week -- perhaps when we take refuge in this air-conditioned space as the temperature breaks the forecasted 100 degrees F.
