Licketty lick...

..I suppose, had I thought about it, I'd have known that a hoverfly has a tongue with a groove in the centre, like ours?

This tongue is a lot smoother looking than mine, which has craters and cracks like the side of a volcano.
And sometimes lumps and bumps too. Like tumuli.
Especially if I eat pineapple.
Or celery.
