Detective Ballbins

The Big Kid came over today to help me plant the last few palms, when he got here we nipped to B & Q for compost and a couple of large plants pots. we came out with compost and some solar Tiki bamboo lights.
As we were walking towards the car, I noticed a couple of men looking a bit dodgy, at first I thought one of them was peeing next to my car. As we got closer they both got into their car and sat watching us, I decided to take my time loading up the car. They drove very slowly away into a part of the car park that was a dead end which seemed odd. The Big Kid then pointed to the lock of a plumbing van which was parked next to ours, it had been popped out somehow, I dialed 999 as the men were still in the car park. The Big Kid then noticed that the van next to the first van also had a popped lock.
As I was talking to the police the car slowly drove out of the car park, I read out the registration down the phone and gave a description, I also gave the reg numbers of the 2 vans. BK went into the store to ask them to make an announcement over the tannoy. I also got the attention of a member of staff who was collecting trolleys in the car park
There were a group of men watching all this 30 ft away, then a manager came out to ask if the owners had come out of the store yet, I said no. Then the group of men suddenly hurried over asking what was going on, we told them ..., the vans were theirs ! They swore a LOT, they were a bit angry, then they discovered that none of their tools had been stole and they were happy. One of the was so happy he kissed me.
We came back home, the Big Kid dug lots of big holes and I made him a really nice lunch.
