Today's the day ......................... for the Ring of Kerry

We were all pretty happy today.

Ron and Margaret got to play Waterville - one of the most beautiful and rewarding, true links golf courses that they have yet encountered in their challenge.  It certainly has earned its place  in quite a few of the record books as one of the best in the world not only for its setting, but also for the design of the course itself.

I got to walk along the most wonderful beach, with its golden sand and Atlantic breakers sparkling in the sunshine.  All around there were the mountains of the Kerry Peninsula as a backdrop.  The dunes between the beach and the golf course were full of flowering plants - including orchids - and butterflies.  And Will got to paint it all - although there was a painting to be had in every direction - so it was quite hard to choose.

That's what I call - quality time ...........................
