Riomaggiore, Italy

Made it to Cinque Terre, Liguria, today on a day trip before we move on to Venitia for a week tomorrow.

It really is as quaint as it's been advertised and I was struck by how similar it looks to the French riviera or cote d'azur -- one of my most favorite places in the world -- in terms of the landscape: sheer cliffs tumbling into the beautiful, clear waters below, topped with vividly green trees and shrubbery. Finished the day with a quick pizza, only to have the restaurant/bar invaded by about 100 vacationing Germans who wanted to cheer on their soccer team! :)
