New things...

A day of new experiences... 

1.  Theraplay...  Went on a course this morning to learn some games and basic principles related to therapeutic play, with the intention of building connection, attachment and self esteem in our adopted little ones...
A bunch of adults in a room sat on the floor, playing with playdoh, bubbles, beanbags, and making handprints with hand lotion and talcum powder- hence the strange,  X-ray like, white hand pictures in the photo... all great fun and very useful, with sound psychological principles to back up the games... 

Then we purchased a brand spanking new television... this was a first  for me as all the others I've had have been second hand or slightly broken...  We don't normally do new technology... This is a smart TV...  smarter than me anyway... Felt quite proud... accidentally got it in white, which looks better in the room... bought the correct wall fitting and fitted it myself, and  after much wrangling and a phone call to netflix,  even got all the the apps working as well...  Little one can watch kids films, dance to music, sing along with nursery rhymes on you tube, and not be at risk of the entire set falling off and landing on her...

For once we don't need to use the words Heath Robinson, which applies to so much of our lives... job's a good'n and new ideas abound
