JOINING THE PARTY...

.... and a new bird in the area for my journal!

This little rose robin sat in the tree at the back of Alice's place (our grand daughter) as we celebrated her 4th Birthday today. Where did those four years fly by... wow!!

Anyway, it was a stunning weather day for winter, and we enjoyed the backyard with the kids having fun on the jumping castle, and then as she wanted a "super girl" cake (see extras) our daughter went to work and produced another superb cake.

Was such fun just watching the kids have so much enjoyment, wish I could show you a few shots, it was a riot!!

Anyway, not being able to help myself we have this robin, and also spotted a Black faced cuckooshrike, never even heard of it before, let alone seen one? But, apparently from the info one of our most common birds... so there you go, learning every day. Also in extras.
