THE ANSWER IS BLOWING IN THE WIND
Watching the world and the wind go by.
Today was our second attempt to see the Squacco Heron at Saltholme, and another failure. Never mine, it was a lovely, sunny day.
We then went to South Gare and looked at the steel works and the wind turbines, the birds and the dogs playing on the beach. The three people almost in the middle of the photo walked round the corner with their belongings, one of which was a beautifully crafted miniature Viking Longboat. G was down on the beach and said they filled the boat with straw, lit it, and set the boat adrift. I wonder if it was a send off for someone's ashes. What a lovely idea.
Extra photos: Driving back alongside the steelworks I thought this train was on fire, but it was molten metal being poured into a pit. We stopped to look and getting out of the car was akin to the heat hitting you when you step off a plane on arrival in the Mediterranean.
