Up market mart...

Rain first thing,so on with the waterproofs to go round the cows on the bike.
Took the power washer to the tractor and fertilizer spreader as didn't get time yesterday ,and the fert doesn't take long to start eating into metal!
Spent the afternoon mixing and bagging up feed, but it all went wrong  on the last batch. The conveyors and elevators all jammed up and there is about a ton of barley all over the floor,so that is tomorrow's first job.
Had to go into town to pick up junior from the Asda at Gorgie. Haven't been in there for years,so went for a wee drive round for a look. Where the Asda is used to be FMC's slaughter house and cutting plant. There were also 3 different marts next door which are all now closed. Bosemworths is now an indoor football complex, Olivers has been converted to houses, and Swans is also housing and offices. This is the old entrance to Swans, and the developers have retained much of the original frontage to both Olivers and Swans. Of the 3 auctioneers, only Swans is still in operation ,with markets at St Boswells and Wooler.
