Singing to the moon
Problem with the camera - well, I hope it's just with the memory card - so only a desperation blip taken with the mobile in fading light.
Beautiful sunshine today and HH, who has been working all day, kindly suggested that I mucked about in the garden rather then trying to tidy and organize in the house. Good man! So I re-weeded a flower bed that I spent hours on about a month ago, which had a brand new crop of hydra-rooted monsters, courtesy of some 'good' earth the caretaker's wife had seen fit to lay on after my first efforts. I have a whole lot of cuttings to plant out, but that will have to wait until tomorrow, though I did get around to sticking in a few pot plants we had brought up.
Not having heard any birdsong this morning, I thought all the birds must be nesting already, but when I first went out, I froze for a long while, watching a terrific amount of activity. The advantage of not having a camera to hand - more time to observe.
I let the dogs run free at first, but Dookie got so excited chasing the birds that I had to tie him up for a while. He so obviously wanted to grow wings or learn how to climb trees, he was beside himself.
