Poppies in a Big Field

We went to Oak Park Forest Park just outside Carlow Town today, a place we have never visited before. Lots of poppies in the fields making for huge visual interest for many miles. The wind was, as usual, blowing fairly hard. Photographing poppies and a stiff breeze are two things which do not go well together. Even when protected by crops of wheat and oats and barley, the poppy heads flutter all over the place in even the gentlest puff, so today was a bit of a challenge but I came home with some of the best poppy shots I have ever made.
