Chequered Skipper....

on a Fragrant Orchid! Amazed to see it, as it is at the end of it's season and rare, present in only a few sites. More surprised that I actually got there ! Left home early and an hour and a half later was sitting waiting for the garage to arrive and discover what had made the crash and then grinding as I cornered. A great guy, Mike, retrieved a bent piece of metal from underneath and then, having removed the wheel, reinserted it over the brake caliper to prevent rattle! Continued on my way and later found the Chequered Skipper, more Small Pearl Bordered Fritillaries, Fragrant and Butterfly Orchids.
