Today's the day .......................... when summer arrived

This has been the first time this year when it was warmer outside than in - and it really felt like a proper hot summer day.

It's after eight o'clock at night and I'm still in just a t-shirt with all the windows in the house open.  You could see how roasting hot it was at Wimbledon today - another thing that reminds you of how a proper summer day should be.  They would have been tucking into the strawberries and cream at Wimbledon to try and keep cool.  But they wouldn't have been like these little alpine ones that grow everywhere in our garden.

It's supposed to be even hotter tomorrow - although there's a chance of a shower of rain here.  That's only to be expected, of course, when you live in the Lake District ............................
