Coventry Pride

After a lot of politics and last minute work by the organisers the first Coventry Pride was a great success.  Very family friendly and a nicely mixed crowd; relaxed, non-corporate (and hardly any noisy whistles).

The youth group had a stall and as well as making ourselves known to a few youngsters it turned out to be an excellent advertising/networking opportunity, lots of people came to chat who had heard about us and wanted to pass information on to their clients.

For me as a recent emigrant it was so nice to see many friends...one of those 'you don't know what you've got till it's gone' experiences.
