Wide Angle Wednesday - architecture
I chose this for its symmetry. It is a wide angle view of a section of the front of the Chanel Art Center.
Originally a Roman Catholic Church and consecrated in 1917- it was built from local marble and thought to be the first marble church in the Southern Hemisphere. By 1985 it had been outgrown and a new church built elsewhere..
The old marble church is now the Chanel Art Centre and is still a significant landmark in the town. The extra shows the entire building to give the blip context.
