The Last Day of June
I cannot believe that June has come and gone. I must've blinked! We celebrated two birthdays and one wedding this month. The summer solstice was beautiful, as always, and each day now is shorter than the last.
I made a brief stop on my way home from quintet rehearsal. The park was busy with kayakers, daydreamers, and hackey sack players. I looked out over the bay, Mozart's lovely Clarinet Quintet still playing in my head.
Have a listen - it is magnificent. My favorites are the first and second movement. The clarinetist in this ensemble is smooth as butter.
