~Soldier Butterfly~

Spent a pleasant morning photographing in my backyard.
Lots of butterflies and bees and grasshoppers, oh my!!!
Managed to capture this soldier breakfasting on a blossom.
This flower is a Monterey Blue Dalae, in its blooming season.
I had photographed it earlier this week, in a wonderful backlight.
I would have been content to just sit and watch all morning.
Who am I kidding, the natural thing to do is to take pictures.
I truly enjoyed myself this a.m., lost in my own little world.
