Grass at Last

The germination periods for the two different types of grass seed, that we sowed on our replacement lawn, were six to twelve days and eighteen to twenty-one days.  It is now some two weeks since the seeds were sown and liberally watered in and at last the first signs of our fresh grass are appearing.  This will be a coarse grass, with shallow roots, while the grass with the longer germination period should start to appear in about a week’s time, it will be much finer, but have much deeper roots, so the lawn should begin to become established again.  Today’s blip is of the grass (in some places) which is the first to appear worthy of being called that.
