Meadowsweet

An early morning visit to the nature reserve this morning and  stroll along the lakeside.  There were hundreds more Damsel flies and lots of butterflies.  Most other insects seemed to have taken shelter including this one in the "extra" photograph .  NB  Don't look at the extra if you don't like spiders as it looks better large.  We are confined to the north facing front room today where it is considerably cooler than anywhere else in the house apart from the fridge!

We had a lovely afternoon and evening with our friends and we did end the meal with ice cream. (pancakes, and cherries in kirsch too)
