FRANZ Joseph Glacier today, what a stunner day. The morning didn?t start out too promising, with rain and cloud. But after a bit of breakie, there was a break in the weather. We drove on from Fox Glacier township to Franz Joseph, caught up on info from DOC and were off to the Glacier. It?s a easy enough walk, about an hour to the glacier terminus/terminal face, and with today?s weather- you couldn?t ask for more. We touched it, its cold.
