I'll have a go....

This is Francis and his steel drum band.

They have been entertaining us with their wonderful sound this morning at the Southport triathlon I was commentating at.

They will also be at the Southport Half Marathon, which is good because I want a go...

After finishing here I hot - footed it back to Freckleton to commentate on our own half marathon.

In 20 years of being associated with Freckleton Half Marathon as runner, organiser and committee member, I have only ever seen it from on the course.

So today was very different and equally wonderful experience - seeing the athletes go out and see them return.
Seeing the crowd enjoying themselves was great too.

Then there was the fun run that I set up 11 years ago. I'd never seen any of it, only heard good things.

I wanted it to be simply a run (optional) in which people had great fun (mandatory).

It didn't disappoint, indeed it was everything I'd hoped for and more.

Today was also International Yoga Day but I couldn't stretch myself to do any....
