Dancing...on the hottest day of the decade
What a hot day it was today - my car temperature registered 35C at one point during the afternoon. It was even too hot for our visitors from Perth, and they are used to high temperatures!
It has been a busy two days - lovely to see our friends from Perth, and catch up on all the news since we last saw them. Today I took them to Hampton Court to get a taste of British history - followed by a drive through Bushy Park to see the deer.
Later this afternoon we went to the boys school and I showed them around and then we had supper at a pub before going to watch the Strictly Come Dancing. Adam and Lucia were tipped to win which put them under pressure. They danced beautifully, despite the intense heat in the hall, Lucia was so poised and professional it was a delight to watch her. They were shortlisted for the waltz, the quickstep and the cha-cha went on to win the waltz and take third place for the cha-cha. Sadly they did not win overall but they had a great time and I, (not being biased!!) thought they stood out as being the best of the evening!
Here they are dancing the waltz and in the extra photos the jive.
