Lindos By Night

Back home now and a chance to upload a picture from the arrival night.  It was already dark when we arrived so just a quick night shot of the town with the Acropolis in the background. 

Its a shame for the Greek people. Most of the ones we saw worked extrememly hard.  If their salary goes directly to their Bank Account, which most do,  they currenlty have a problem as they are restricted in the amount they can withdraw fro the Bank.   This can make it very difficult to meet commitments.

On our last day we had to change rooms for a few hours in the afternoon.  Heard a knock on the door and it was the cleaner who had been busy cleaning the old room.  She had found a Five Euro note under the bed and had come up to the room to return it to us.   A fine example of honesty in adversity.

I immediately rushed down to the Bar and bought a large beer with it.  said I would be more than happy if she just kept it - very grateful.
