Spring Clean in July

Well, we had the carpets cleaned today, and that led to a purge on the furniture and general clean up.
But it was the carpet which was the most grubby and, we thought, showing signs of age. We have had this carpet a few years and already had it cleaned once, not too successfully. And then we had made attempts to spot clean individual marks. So much so that the whole carpet downstairs was looking a hotchpotch of marks.
Thankfully the guys who came today from a different carpet cleaning company were real professionals and knew what they were about. The result - we have floor covering which is looking as good as new.
If you visit us in the coming days though, we might not ask you to take off your shoes. The carpet guys told us it was far easier to clean and eradicate dirty marks left by shoes than stains left by socks!
At the end of the day we think our guys did a magnificent job, and far more efficiently than all previous attempts at putting new life into our carpets. Just have to wait for it all to dry properly now!
