Day 6: the finish line

Spent the morning at track & field and the afternoon at volleyball. From a photographic point of view, I think I prefer the individual sports: more opportunities for capturing faces and emotions. Team sports move too fast and its all about capturing action, which becomes slightly repetitive and eventually boring. 

On a more sobering note, a Brazilian athlete died earlier today (and two are in critical condition) after a collision during a bicycling race. I found out about it listening to the news: there wasn't (and still isn't) any word from the organizers to the community of athletes and volunteers. Unconscionable.
