Not the Staircase to the Moon
Staircase to the Moon I tried but was unsuccessful. If you would like to really see it go and have a peek at
https://www.blipfoto.com/jensphotos as I'm sure she got some rippers !
We had another great day with an explorative trip to the old pearling town of Cossack which has been beautifully restored and, in fact, they were preparing the buildings for one of the biggest art exhibitions in Australia due to open on the 19th July. This was followed by a delicious seafood (and beer) lunch at Point Samson - perfect. we eventually met up with Jensphotos and her mates down at Hearsons Cove for the moonrise, finishing off with dinner. It was great to see her again (we met in NZ). Now, they have a 900km drive north to Broome and we have a 600km drive south to Carnarvon.
My image is taken on sunset - cant show my moon shots..........
My extra is of the biggest road train we have EVER seen! 192 wheels on this rig! 192 wheels - a sight only seen in NW Oz. and this road train (there were 2 of them) was conveying 2 train engines, probably to Dampier, for use on the enormously long and heavy iron ore trains. They often have an engine at both ends and 2 in the middle. These iron ore trains can be a kilometre long!!
