4th of July weekend

The night before the Fourth finds us on the patio enjoying the cool of evening coming on. The woods are tinder - dry and the barbecue is in the middle of the patio so nothing will catch fire. Speaking of which, fireworks are banned in all of western Montana, so it'll be a very quiet one....not a bad thing. We've already had many celebrations this past week....hailing Supreme Court decisions on health care and same-sex marriage, the U.S. women's soccer team's successes and so many other personal triumphs across the country. Maybe now we really are the United States.
