A Big Bang.....

....from their canon!  Nearly jumped out of my skin the first time I heard this.  I was waiting for a blackberry and cream ice cream and really jumped!!  We went to the Blackdown Woodland Fair and because its the 200th anniversary of the battle of Waterloo and the fair is held under the Duke of Wellington's Monument there was a Napoleonic living history display!!  There were a lot of other woodland type of things too.

It was very interesting as always, lots to see and do if you wanted to but as I'm not really one for shinning up vast high poles and anyway it was far too hot I spent some (a lot of) time trying to find a little shade in order to cool down!!

R thought that perhaps the soldiers (golly, must have been a tad warm in those uniforms) should be sent to Calais to sort out the problems over there......I rest my (his) case.
