Carpets of soldanella

A friend and I set off for a long hike over to Italy. We walked up past the cows and the farmhouse selling fresh milk, cheese and speck, over two cols across several valleys which brought us close to Livigno. This view of soldanella carpets really had the wow factor for me and the lake was so inviting we went for a swim. Spot the bivouac hut the far side of the lake.
