Abbotsbury Beach
We were on a walk with our local walking group to Abbotsbury today. It started with an ascent up to the Ridgeway where we walked amongst the sea mist which slowly drifted in. There were some good views looking back to the sea and St Catherine's Chapel but the mist had settled in by the time we were at the spot for views on both sides. As we descended into the village of West Bexington the sea mist cleared and we continued the rest of the walk in bright sunshine. The beach offers some stunning coastal views with great displays of wild flower borders in the lanes edging the beach. We returned via the coastal footpath and St Catherine's Chapel to Abbotsbury for a cream tea. An enjoyable day's walking.
