BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED!

Not sure if these poppies were actually "planted" on a roundabout in the town centre, but they have caught my eye before, so today, as the roads were not as busy, Mr. HCB stopped so that I could take a photograph.  They were being blown about quite a lot as it was fairly windy, but despite that, their beauty was evident and I managed to get this shot.

Made me think of the circumstances that we go through in our lives - often we are tossed about by the wind and sometimes even "battered" by all that happens, but we need to stand strong and bloom where we are planted then people will look at us and see our beauty, despite all we have been through or maybe even because of it.

Perhaps for some of us, we need to accept that we cannot control everything and make the best of the situations we are presented with.  In other words, we need to accept the things that happen to us that we cannot change, but work on those things that we can change, move out of our comfort zone and above all, have a positive attitude.

Is your life full of difficulties 
     and temptations? 
Then be happy, 
     for when the way is rough, 
          your patience has a chance to grow. 
So let it grow, 
     and don’t try to squirm 
          out of your problems. 
For when your patience is 
     finally in full bloom, 
          then you will be ready 
               for anything, 
strong in character, 
     full and complete.
