Calves at Play

It's been a fine warm day, mostly cloudy but dry and a peerie bit of sunshine from time to time.  A lovely calm evening but the threat of mist is on the hills.

With the fine day, it's mostly been a quiet day at work in the museum.  There was a large group of German visitors to the isles, they fairly boosted our numbers last thing :)
I managed to get out into the garden this evening and got some more flowers planted and some bedding plants potted up.  There was a great buzz about the garden with various kinds of bumblebees, pesky cabbages whites and loads of lovely red admirals.  There seems to be an abundance of slugs too!  Need to get rid asap.
Spent the rest of the evening out for a run in the car with mam, niece Eve and her friend Jenny.  Now it's time for a quiet night at home.

While we were out for a run in the car, we went through Wester Quarff.  The peerie calves were fairly playful tonight and right cute too.  They did stop when I first arrived, and their mam's gave me a deadly stare but they soon bounced off with a happy spring in their step :)
