Western Meadowlark
Busy day today getting ready for our camping trip. We're planning to leave on Wednesday but we had to get our trailer ready for the season. We're getting a late start this year because of our rainy spring. We've usually taken at least one trip by now. We're really anxious to get to our favorite campground on Lake Granby, about three hours straight west from here. That's as the crow flies, of course. We will be taking a circuitous and steep road through the mountains to get there. There is another, quicker way to get there but our trailer is too long to make it around the very curvy road. I don't even like doing it in a car! Anyway, no time for a walk today, just a quick drive looking for blip inspiration. At this time of year Meadowlarks are plentiful and singing their beautiful songs.
