Haar haar

T and D, friends from whom we bought our newly acquired caravan, suggested a weekend away with them so we could try it out while they were at hand should we have any problems. Good idea we thought!

A fantastic site if you have children - but not really MrM's or my idea of fun! We should have realised that, at this time year, it would be jam packed with mums and dads chilling in the sun with a drink (or six... or seven) and hundreds of children left pretty much to themselves in the large play area. Hmmm, it'll be a much quieter site next time!

But it was a good weekend in terms of trying out the caravan.

Late evening we strolled up to the top of the site, where there are static caravans and it's very much quieter, in the hope of a view of Budle Bay. But the haar (sea fog) had come down, and there wasn't much to see at all...
