Leftovers Anyone?

I made a favourite pudding, Strawberry Lemon Soufflé, for S and M's visit. It was #1 daughter's favourite and as her birthday was during strawberry season we'd have it then. I haven't been able to bring myself to make it since she died till now.

It is from an old 1970s recipe book. It is quite a palaver to make as the egg yolks, sugar, lemon juice and rind have to be whisked over a pan of hot water until they thicken which takes ages. Egg whites also need whipping, as does cream, and gelatine must be prepared too. However it's worth it, and as you see, not much was left.

Today Mr C had another dental visit. She thinks there must be an infection from the extraction 3 weeks ago, though he's had 2 lots of antibiotics. He's now on a very strong one and if things don't improve in a couple of days he's to go to the dental hospital as there could be an infection in the bone.

It was a nice distraction to take Ella and Nathaniel out - it was wet so we went to soft play. We are shattered from our play.
