Derwentwater

The weather forecast said it would be brighter in the north of the county. I believed it and for once it was correct. 

We left Ambleside in drizzle but it soon dried up and approaching Keswick there were patches of blue sky. Had a short walk through the park and along the lake shore followed by a food shop. Still had to go to our local Tesco express for some broccoli this afternoon as I wasn’t paying Booths price for pale, floppy stuff. 

Two extras. The first at Friars Crag ……. no longer t-shirt weather but still lots of people around. The second a mono by the boat landings.
