The first one this year.

During the rather sunny interlude we had this morning, I saw this dragonfly hovering around the garden. Eventually it settled long enough for me to be able to get this shot.  I have looked on google and it tells me that this particular dragonfly is a Vagrant Emperor which has probably come from the stream down the lane. Apparently they are a long distance migrant some times arriving from as far away as sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East and can even been seen in the UK during the winter months.
