Our Gardenias are Blooming
This fragrant gardenia bush is just outside our front door in the brick planter that leads toward the neighborhood sidewalk. The delicate white petals turn brown entirely too quickly, and even quicker if they are touched, so I try to snip them from the branch, place them in a bowl of water, and once I bring them into the house, we breathe in their perfume.
After church this morning we returned home to enjoy a lovely relaxing afternoon. Mr. Fun watched the Canadian Grand Prix which was held in Montreal. He was seriously excited because seven different drivers have won each of the seven races this season. Mr. Fun has loved sports car races since he was knee-high to a hubcap.
Before sundown, we barbecued our dinner and dined on the backyard patio table while enjoying a mild breeze and the view that continues to entertain us. If I could order a month of Sundays, I wouldn't mind at all if each was similar to this one.
Good night from Southern California.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
