Accidental Bee Composition

We took on the care of this bumble bee. He/she was tired beyond belief banging against a window. The Principal tried flower resuscitation before we brought in the hard stuff - a smear of honey.

It was amazing to watch the bee work at getting the honey. Energy returned and from what seemed like  a certain and lingering death he/she took to the air with a great buzzing of wings and was soon on her/his way.

The flowers are borage and a dark geranium plus yew leaf.

The words are from 'Hey Johnny Cope' - a song I knew through the Irish folk band  Planxty - which is not Irish but about the Battle of Prestonpans - to the south east of Edinburgh - during the Second Jacobite Uprising.
