Oops

Our pond was a bit low this morning, so we turned the hose on.  But someone forgot to switch the tap off, and now it is ridiculously a little overfull!  The water is almost up to the undersurface of the bridge, and the bog is waterlogged!

Oh well - we are promised hot weather again for later this week, so hopefully it will evaporate back to a sensible level.  We did wonder what would happen in the winter if we got a lot of rain.  W was concerned that the bridge might become impassable.  But now we know - before flooding the bridge, the water leaves the pond in a little stream between two of the trees, and runs into the meadow.
