to spot a "Trammer"

The horses that do the magnificent job of pulling the trams along Douglas Promenade are known affectionately as "trammers"

They have their stable block and headquarters at the north end of the promenade.  It happened that I was walking past  there today.  I went in and took some photographs of the horses.  However none of the photos will reach your exacting standards.

As I walked on, the first horse tram of the day went up the line to do its public duty.   Just  then it began to rain.
