Walk to school

Parents' welcome evening at J's new school. Aka Big School. There are many paths he can take through Chiswick House to get there so I'm not 100% sure this will be the exact walk to school but it may be. It's through the gate at the end. And whichever way he goes it will be a lovely walk. Well, perhaps less so on the rainy days. Though he is adamant that he will always walk so he isn't at the mercy of random elements such as traffic which could make him late.

He didn't make the induction day earlier but I was really glad we went to the evening talk. Not least as our friends were there and we all headed out afterwards to a very fine dinner and cheeky cocktail nightcap (or two). Best news of the night was that our sons are going to be in the same form class. Especially good news for J who, having missed meeting the rest of his class, is guaranteed a friendly face.
