Dark day light

I had all sorts of plans for places to dash off to at lunchtime to blip out of the rain. However, making myself a coffee in the middle of the morning I couldn't help noticing the richness of this light. The dark - pouring - sky was turning luminous a straggle of flowers and herbs which I yesterday put in a jug by my kitchen window. So here from my garden you have sage looking like a butterfy and little lavender soldiers, though not pinks and rosemary which are there but just out of shot.

And my wet day plans will no doubt come in handy later in the week!!
