The Tree Hugger

What a great day.

We took the monsters to Swanston Village to get a couple of shots for the camera clubs scavenger hunt (Hidden Edinburgh category).
This was an old stomping ground of mine as a youth.
I can remember when the houses were actually being connected to mains power and water (early 1960s)...... and when the big house was semi derelict and had goats in it. It has all been done up and I hate to think how much it is worth since one of the small 2 bed semis is on the market for £370,000.

Further up the hill it was time for a seat and a look at the view over the city to the Forth where the cruise ship Britannia was moored (it is a BIG ship) and a bit of fun in the tree which seems to have eaten the tree hugger.

On the way back down the kids went to look at the horses and managed to enforce coitus interruptus on the couple in the stone seating area. What red faces they had. I am surprises we didn't get any questions for the monsters (especially Squirrel).

Lunch was partaken at the fish emporium.

SWMBO and I headed west in the evening for a fantastic concert put on by Fleetwood Mac.
The security seemed to be more intent on removing bottles of water being taken into the venue than anything else - I should have taken a camera rather than the binoculars! Ahh well!!

A good day.
